Hi,

Received a PCN dated 1/9/2022 for a drop off at Gatwick on 2/7/2022. However, I have an Autopay account set up and it seems that the visit wasn't recorded. Previous and subsequent visits in this car were recorded (we use Gatwick a lot)

When appealing do I simply mention that or do I need to add anything else?

Many thanks

If the visit wasn't recorded how did they manage to send a PCN?  I would get hold of the Autopay Account people and give them a shaking!

Absolutely DO NOT appeal without reading the NEWBIES thread and other NCP Gatwick threads first!

Certainly no ticking 'DRIVER' on the dropdown menu.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Another visit to Gatwick today and another failure to record the visit. It's like their ANPR isn't fit for purpose.

Now, do I pay manually, or wait for the inevitible PCN and rip them a new one again?

If they didn't record the visit (so that you are unable to pay presumably) what evidence are they going to use to issue a PCN?

There we go, thr answer is in the post.

ANPR when used on its own as is, is not fit for the purpose of generating pakrng charge notices or other charges.

Even on the Dartford crossing - which i use but just not enough for an account,  i get a free crossing every now and again as the ANPR fails to record my vehicle.

They managed to do this for the visit which I started this thread with. I won with an 18 word appeal.

On the post-pay website there is an option to manually enter the visit of they can't match it. It's like they knew ANPR would be a PoS
