Evening (?) all (I suppose it is as it is nearly 6pm, though the sun has just come out ...)Today I have / will:
Got up early, fed the dog, had a coffee and went to the post office to pick up an undelivered parcel. I thought it might be some plants that I ordered from an ebay nursery business seller, and didn't want them languishing over the weekend in the sorting office, but it turned out to be a squashed box from the postal survey. Also dropped off a bag of clothes in one of the charity collection bins at the supermarket, so that is now out of the house.Pear and raspberry compote, made from garden fruit, with my porridge for breakfastA FB marketplace item also left the house, or rather garage. £5 gainedListed another item.My plants arrived with the morning post, but what a disappointment. They were soaking wet, droopy and yellow Messaged the seller who apologised and offered to replace them. Not sure if they want the poorly plants back. Anyway, they are out on the garden table. They may recover, or some of them might.Gardening this afternoon, redid some of the pots along the path by the back gate, using plants I already have, and repotted some geraniums and put them in the conservatory.Made a (tinned white) bean / chorizo / tomato salad to go with warmed up baked potatoes and coleslaw for dinner. Sounds strange but was nice. Seems a shame not to make use of the gorgeous garden tomatoes as they will not be with us for much longer now.Now debating whether to go back out in the garden....2 -
It's 🍅 🍅 central here too, Dawn! And as for the apples this year.....an overwhelming amount. Really struggling to keep on top of them, but grateful for our harvest, as always.
