Hello,Nice to 'see' you @Baileys_BabeI was thinking of our lovely Purplefairy too Hope her family are all doing ok.Lots done today, but lots left to do, and I am not going to get to it today.* Dog walked first thing* Used up an elderly banana for breakfast* OH was moaning about my jungly garden, so I took a few things out and cut / tied back some others so he didn't get wet walking down the garden path The garden does need a good tidy up. And there are pears to pick.* Finished off the carrot and coriander soup for lunch* Made a quiche, 2 blackberry and apple pies, and a game pie (using up stuff from the freezer for this one)* Also two tubs of pear and raspberry compote (yum) and 3 of blackberry and apple pie filling. Serious tetris skills needed to get it all in the freezer! The cooking apples are knotted up in old tights hanging from a couple of coat pegs in the hall. They do not look at all glamorous, but we decided that is the coolest place .... unless I can somehow fit them in the larder. No idea what to have for dinner, but there is plenty to choose from!3

(although, he probably doesn't actually. Anyone else's OH continually ask them where things are in house they've lived in for over 10 years?)LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.31Student loan repaid: 01/07/2019SAVINGS: £20,000Car final lump sum: £6113/£61133 -
Morning folks!
It's a gorgeous day here after the rain. I've got the windows open and I'm going to try and get out for a walk today. Still feeling tired and a bit run down so I cancelled the gym this morning and had a long lie in. Best I did actually as OH is under the weather too and he would have dragged himself there if he thought I was going. He had sore eyes yesterday and has developed a stye on one. Then yesterday evening, he started pouring with sweat but he was all cool and clammy. He's not feeling particularly unwell but super tired so looks like we're both fighting something off.
But either way, I need to settle down to some work and focus. Definitely struggling to apply myself at the moment - I've been hectic for a few months now and my brain is needing a rest. Still, only about 10 days before my holiday now
Today's MSE things:
B/L/D from stores
WFH so no petrol spend
Keep elec usage down as much as possible
Spendy things:
OH working so petrol spend there (he has to be completely bed ridden not to go to work)
Other:
Do some knitting. although not feeling this latest sock for some reason.
Possibly getting a freebie massage. Masseuse has a habit of cancelling last minute d/t ill health. This is in fact a freebie they offered to make up for all the cancelled ones. And this is the second time it's been scheduled. I am not holding my breath!
Would you believe, the second I wrote that - they messaged and cancelled.
Have a good one all

Morning All
We are off to visit the in-laws today, I'm hoping the weather is dry as their small town is good for strolling around the charity shops.
Breakfast from stores, we are eating lunch and dinner at the in-laws, they are supplying lunch and we are taking a homemade dinner to share. We did all the prep last night so only a quick assembly job and then bake it.
The family are doing well @DawnW thank you for asking. Since the Covid restrictions back in Spring 2020 OH is working from home which is brilliant, I would hate for him to need to return to the office now as I would miss him.carrielovesfanta said:DawnW said:* OH was moaning about my jungly garden, so I took a few things out and cut / tied back some others so he didn't get wet walking down the garden path The garden does need a good tidy up. Evening all, not posted much have been working or sleeping!Updates
im going back to Sainsburys starting this Sunday, 3 days a week on a 12 hour contract. The only over time I could actually do is on the Sunday now if I stay after 8am. The plus side to this means getting rid of my debt a little quicker and Sainsburys have announced that they’re going to increase pay to £10.25 an hour instead of £10 and also make discounts longer! Also, they’ve already started the Christmas range *dances to Christmas songs*I love my new job so much it’s better than my old one, a little less pay but I have so much free time after work now! So I’m going to rejoin the gym and swimming. Downside to the new job is there’s a massive Tesco, kfc and McDonald’s up the road and every single day so far I’ve gone to Tesco and bought a meal deal at £3 so my plan is to get back into my meal planning! I picked up chicken on the way home and I’ve got broccoli and pasta in the house so I’m going to make a cheese chicken and broccoli bake! Working tomorrow 8am until 4pm but it’s only every other Saturday so not too bad!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
