    Something like Toupret exterior filler would probably work for repairing the sill if you didn't want to go out and buy a whole bag of mortar.

    Good point, John.
    Pretty sure the stuff in the tube I mentioned is very tolerant of movement, tho', and is unlikely to crack. I've been using it to fill and smooth-off cracks and missing bits of masonry on the concrete 'ramp' that leads into our drive, so it gets quite a bit of punishment from the car, and I'm hoping/expecting that this will be far less likely to crack further than mortar would.
    It looks exactly like sandy mortar!

    But you don’t need a bricklayer. As previously stated, a competent handyman would fix this, if not DIY is relatively straight forward, just the confidence to do it.
