I've searched everywhere but cannot find the answer.

How much data does your phone use to download the Daily Mail online if you cannot access wifi.

If you have an Android phone you can get it to tell you what's been using data and how much, so if you were to install the app it might be possible to get an idea that way after you've used it for a bit

The problem is this, it's not my phone but hubs. Sometime ago he had the fright of using up all his data just downloading the paper and though he now has 4g per month allowance, he is afraid to do it unless he is on wifi.  I thought if we could find out how much it uses it would put his mind at rest if it fell within his monthly allowance.

How much mobile data will I use to view some pages with a web browser such as Google Chrome?

At this website ---> https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html

I opened that dailymail homepage with my PC and it loaded approx 15 MegaBytes of stuff.
Then it would probably load some more each time the articles were clicked to read.

Once downloaded (the whole day's paper) it doesn't use any extra data.

I've just downloaded the Telegraph and it's around 45 MB for each day.

A lot will depend on how the app is set up but I found this information in settings so hopefully you can find that kind of information in the Mail app.
