Do I need servicing already?
Got a lease car which I pay for servicing too. I had got a service in Feb 2022 and was told next service in 2023 by Nissan.
Today whilst driving, i got notification on my dashboard which said, "Engine oil, service due in 940 miles"
I am wondering if anyone could advice whether ai need yet another service. 11400 miles done so far.

Wich model and fuel type? Some Japanese marques do have quite short servicing intervals. My Mazda had 12,500 mile intervals - I always had it serviced before my trip computer got to 10,0000

The "next service in 2023" may have been simply a throw-away comment.
Service intervals are normally expressed in mileage and months, so the "next service in 2023" would be correct based on a 12-month interval assuming you were within the mileage threshold between services.
What does the service book say for the mileage threshold?0 -

It simply says next service due in 2023 feb at 17k miles. I am on 11.4k miles at present so even if you add on the 900 miles doesnt take me to 17kGrumpy_chap said:The "next service in 2023" may have been simply a throw-away comment.

My Ford is one year or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first. It sounds like your Nissan is the same.

It most likely has a 12 month or 12,000 mile service scheduled based on which comes first.1

Call the dealership and check. My car says engine oil change every 10,000 miles or 1 year. Due to the mileage I do the dealership say every 20,000 miles and to just reset it at 10,000 miles0

The first service was down to be done at either 12k or 12 months whichever happened first so 12 months came first.400ixl said:It most likely has a 12 month or 12,000 mile service scheduled based on which comes first.
I am not understanding whether earlier than another 12 months woulf be suitable just for oil check?0 -
Yeah I will do, in the summary from last service in feb they say they did engine oil?SaverRate said:Call the dealership and check. My car says engine oil change every 10,000 miles or 1 year. Due to the mileage I do the dealership say every 20,000 miles and to just reset it at 10,000 miles
For engine oil do they simply check or replace it?0 -
Peugeot cars service warning comes on 8 weeks or so before it’s due.
Ive only done 2600 miles since last year.
I just reset it to stop it annoying me.
Service interval is 1 year or XXXX Miles.
