SIP Parking

My son mistakenly paid a fee online for me to park in gt jackson st instead of owen st in manchester (theyre virtually next door to each other) so i got a ticket from SIP
Im inclined to think this is pretty unfair as it was paid but just for the wrong car park
Anyone else appealed to SIP's better nature with success?
Pay-up or put-up??

In our experience, SIP don't have a better nature; the industry is rotten (prove me wrong, SIP).
Did the money still go to SIP, as the other car park was theirs too?
If so, appeal ONCE using the newbies thread appeal template that you'll have read first (we hope)...
...and add a paragraph that explains what happened and that it was a keying error in location code but SIP were still paid. Attach proof, e.g. a screenshot.
Finish by adding that, in the spirit of the new incoming statutory Code of Practice and the IPC's view that motorists should not be penalised for a keying error that causes no loss, you are prepared to offer £15 to cover the minor admin of getting DVLA data (£2.50), printing & sending a template letter automatically (£1 at most) and transferring the payment to the correct revenue pot.
DO NOT TRY IAS WHEN SIP REJECT.
IGNORE SIP AFTER THAT. See post #4 of the newbies thread re ignoring tedious and toothless debt demands.
The idea of the above appeal is that it looks better to a Judge if SIP ever try a small claim and the fact you made a reasonable offer to resolve the dispute is powerful later.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You don't need to write anything on that thread.
It is closed to stop anyone adding to it, but it doesn't stop anyone reading it.
Keep any discussion about your incident on this thread.2 -
Is it worth appealing to the landowner/s before i appeal to SIP and how do i find out who they are?
thanks0 -
Only if it's the same landowner. Not if not.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

UPDATE
My wonderful son, in an attempt to defend his mother, completed the appeals form for SIP - telling them what had happened when his mother parked her car and he paid for the wrong car park!
SIP are now saying that the car park ID he entered doesnt exist (which it obviously does) and the appeal has been denied.
"Upon checking our payment database systems no valid parking session can be located for your vehicles registration. Upon further investigation and from the evidence provided by yourself it is apparent that the location code used to purchase parking is not one associated with SIP the location code and be found on the signage situated in the car park.As no valid parking session can be located the charge has been issued correctly ."
