  • You haven’t said who the PPC is but if there is an email address for their DPO I would send it by email and also via the post if they have given an address. Don’t forget to send them proof of who you are. Copy of your vehicles V5C and a redacted bill with your name and address should do. No photo ID.

They like to make SARs difficult but you have a legal right to the information so make it difficult and time consuming for them. You have plenty of time. No doubt they will be sending debt collectors letters and threatening letters from a solicitor which you can ignore until you get a Letter Before Claim.

How about taking this to your local newspaper - they will love it due to your evidence, and the PPC will cancel.
Absolutely I will do it if it happened in my home town but now I am not sure how to approach the local newspaper. Would you please give me some suggestions? Thank you.
Send it to journalists at the Daily Mail then.  Google for parking articles and you get their names and email at the top of the article.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you. The PPC is SIP.
  • May I know the maximum parking charge £50/70 is applied to all PPC including SIP from Feb 2022? My PCN is £100 (£60 after ‘discounted’) originally, they increased to £115 within 14 days the appeal result released from IAS and then keep on increasing to £160 now. In case I have to submit the letter before claim, should I include the unfair charges they applied? In the worst case, what is the maximum fee I have to pay if I lose? Thank you

Roughly what the new Code of Practice was dictating, implementation within around 18 months. But then the parking firms have initiated two Judicial Reviews of the parking charge and debt recovery levels, throwing a spanner in the works, causing the DLUHC to put the introduction of the CoP on hold while a further consultation takes place.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you for your information and I did send email to this address and got reply promptly.
However, they told me that they did not keep any images other than those related to the PCN, i.e they only provided 2 images which were captured at 13:13 (entry) and 13:48(exit). They enclosed the ANPR entry-exit record and Bought Machine tickets record to me as well. I found that there are at lease 10 sets of entry-exit records missed because I found my tickets bought but no ANPR entry-exit records. I am furious now as they used a system with poor accuracy then issued PCN to the innocent intentionally. They insist to charge me even I have provided sufficient proof to show that they made mistakes.
In the attachments of all the PCNs and NTK, I found that there was a ‘Legal action letter’ (urged me to settle the payment immediately or ......) but actually I have not received before. May I know usually how long they will put the case to the court which I really expect?
