We live on a Narrow Boat and we get out electric from the Marina... We use Calor Gas which has gone up, Coal which has gone up, diesel for getting hot water and back up heating. I have looked and looked where to get help. As we do not pay Council Tax direct to the council its included in our residential mooring fees. So not every household will be getting this payment and i wish they would stop saying this... Just because we choose a different lifestyle does not mean we don't need help. Thank you

Just to say that the issue of people who are not direct customers of electricity companies is certainly on the radar of my MSE colleagues. At the end of July the Government said that an announcement about how support will be made available to people who won't get the automatic £400 will be made this Autumn - see here. I think at this stage everyone is just waiting for that announcement. Keep an eye on MSE's news pages in the coming weeks.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1
