For me, 100% it does not – that is my point.
RogerBareford said:But ofcourse your have been influenced by adverts! So your saying you never try any new products and never buy anything new?Anything I buy is governed by price. If their is a advert for bottled water it does not induce me to buy the product, tap water is fine by me, chlorine be dammed. Does Aldi advertise on tv? If I need to buy toothpaste the cheapest brand will do, I’m not even influence by their junk mail that come in the post – straight in the bin without a curiosity look.
Subliminal adverts/messages won’t effect me, and i doubt Stockholm syndrome would have any impact on me either. I’m head strong and resolute.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

No adverts to watch, because I won’t have a tv licence. My PC (personal computer) is hook up to the tv so I can watch YouTube with leisure (aided by adblockers). Now I can listen to Wagner’s The Ring Cycle without someone trying to sell me a car.
I was just venting about the relentless commercials.

I did enjoy Woolworth Christmas commercials, but that was the late 70’s! I seem to recall the adverts would run for 15 continuous minutes!Ahh, the good old days.

Before any says “so you were influence by commercials” I was young then with a impressable mind.
It’s a bit like today when youngster leave school or universities, some can be brained washed into idealistic idea’s – until they go to work, and pay the bills, reality soon dawns.

If I'm watching a program I automatically press 'mute' until the annoying ads are finished. The advertisers like Vax must spend millions on making the ad then having air time.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

I try to record everything with adds then watch later, 8 clicks on the Virgin remote is right to miss the adds.0
