Not a fan of the default view of the board. Does anyone know if this can be changed in some kind of settings?
For example, say I enter a forum, energy forum to put a name to it but it could be any.
I then want to go to another forum. Say Techie. I click "Forum Home" but then get that god awful layout. I'm sure some people like that view but for me that's just not how boards are laid out. Yep this one clearly is but there's much better ways to lay it out for easier navigation ........... which is where the "View all boards" button comes in and that is the layout I'm wanting to see when I want to dip out of one forum & access another.

Don't click on "Forum Home" but instead use "All Boards" and if you Ctrl click it will open in a new tab and you can flick between the two (or more) open tabs.1

the interface of MSE forum is generally terrible compared to other forums I use.

If your browser window is wide enough you always have one-click access to 'all boards' on the left hand side.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

As in 14" monitor, 40" monitor - wouldn't it just still be over there anyway?0 -
If you make your browser window narrower (or are viewing on a smaller screen device like a tablet), the left hand menu is replaced by a bottom navigation bar. So no, it wouldn't always be in the same place.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1

@MSE_James - is it possible to request a thread lock without making the request public?
I'll have to do it now but just thinking for in future.

That thread.
I've asked the question, it's been answered.
The thread is now just being kept at the top by silly point scoring back & forth, everyone trying to make out like everyone else is wrong & they're right. There's not really any point in what is now going on.
