Fit payment Scottish Power

The second quarter running where I have had to submit a photograph to support my readings. Scottish Power say it's because the reads were higher than expected by Ofgen. This all delays payment but now S.P are in breach of their terms and conditions as payment should have been by the end of the month following submission. Submitted 25th July, payment by 31st August.
Payment is not in my bank account.
UPDATE I have just spoken to S.P
He said payment was made on 23rd Aug and could take upto 20 days. I am NOT amused.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Shell have always been reliable with my FIT payments.
  • Thank you, I think that's the answer, to move. S.P sitting on hundreds of pounds and using stupid excuses.

Was with nPower originally (2010), now Eon.  FIT has always been paid within two weeks of due date.  Never had to submit a photo.

With fit they have to check your meter every two years so they know your not trying it on.

Same happened to me with Scottish power. Cannot think it would benefit them much to delay it for a month given the additional administrative work.

Interesting.  I think they've checked mine no more than twice in the past 12 years!

Mind you, we've not seen a main meter reader in at least 5 years!

Strangely a man from Morrison data turned up at the house yesterday to look at my gas meter only not any other meters.

I submitted my reading to Scottish Power on the 31st July and it wouldn't accept my reading saying it was too high so sent them a photo of the meter then the following week someone came out to take a reading.,

They said they have to do this every 2 years........ I have had solar installed for 5 years and this is the first time they have checked

I am waiting for FIT payment also

If you are thinking of changing FIT "supplier" do NOT switch to SSE / OVO, they are even worse that what is being described here.
