It pays to complain

just under a month ago I looked up cheap 36mb broadband for 24 months and picked Vodafone and ordered online.
£22 / month but with a claim for £120 applied to my account as £16.xx a month.
all good so far, waited for my router to arrive before the 4th August. Nothing arrived. Checked online order cancelled no one told me!
rang up and complained. New order put on checked still £120 MSE discount deal and £5/ day compensation till it goes love!
engineer visit required (why?) so stayed in, no engineer, no contact to explain!
rang up and complained again! Made it a formal complaint, told openreach had a problem in cabinet another engineer visit scheduled!
stayed in rang up to complain formally and demanded a manager deal with me and complaint.
Shortly after Openreach engineer knocks on door to explain. Second order was for a new service not a transfer so they were trying to work out how to get a second line to my house.
rang Vodafone again to explain their cockup and get it fixed.
turned down £150 for two wasted days, insisted I wanted £200.
yesterday manager rang and after discussing issues and apologising a lot agreed £200 on account once it’s live.
due to go love 8th Sept so with £5 per day late that’s £175 + £200 compensation agreed and MSE £120 discount knock that off £22/month for 24 months Onwoll pay them £33 total for 24 months broadband!
Saving £495, result!
That’s £1.375 per month!
Can anyone beat that price!
having a good month!
got a refund from Bensons for beds of £1495 for my son last month after they delivered a bed with cosmetic damage then screwed everything up repeatedly!
definately pays to complain.
was civil but firm throughout both and made formal complaints, subject access requests for the phone call recordings and pointed out how much more they would lose if I took it to small claims!
when they mess you around make them pay!
cheers
