Huawei P30 Lite Marie-L01A Is this good value at about £110?

My wife needs a basic smart phone to replace her ageing Motorola Moto E 2nd Generation Android 6 which can no longer run modern apps such as WhatsApp and banking apps.

She does not want or need an all singing all dancing phone that does everything. She does most of her online stuff at home on her laptop. Away from home she just wants to be able to make calls, take photos and check Facebook and WhatsApp.

We have seen an excellent condition used Huawei P30 Lite Marie-L01A for sale locally for £110.

Is this good value or could we do better for around £100 to £150?

She wants to stay with Virgin as she has a very good PAYG contract. This phone is on O2. Is it easy to unlock it and use it on Virgin and how much would that cost?

Thanks. We did look at that phone a few weeks ago and liked it so we have ordered it from Amazon.

You are right about second hand as not only might the battery be dodgy we get no guarantee with a private second hand purchase.

Your advice is appreciated.
