The cashback is paid as bill credit at the end of the year.
So if i spend a £1000 in total over the year i get back 0.25% of £1000 back to me as credit?
On qualifying purchases yes.... You'd need to check what is and isn't covered in relation to your own spending patterns - but most regular purchases attract the standard cashback.

This is not how it currently operates. The cashback is calculated monthly and can be withdrawn as a bill credit at any time.

It would only be that way if you somehow spent exactly £1000 in qualifying balances. E.g. if it's 0.25 credit for £1 spend and you spent £1.99 you would get 0.25 but if you spent £2 you would get 0.5 - check the terms but it's almost certainly only for whole pound spends
