    Thanks Barclay card looks brilliant?
  • My Barclays Platinum has come to the end of this charge free overseas cash withdrawal period. I can't apply for a new Barclaycard for 6 months after closing this one, so will continue with my Halifax Clarity for purchases and put money in my Starling Euro account to withdraw at atm's.

Personally, I've found little advantage to using the Starling Euro account compared to keeping everything in Sterling.

I suppose one benefit is that if you have €200 on the card and withdraw €100 then you will know that you have €100 left (assuming no ATM fee) and helps you think in Euros when travelling.

As long as you haven't closed your B Platinum card - you can go into the Barclaycard app where there's a section for 'product swaps' and it'll show you any other Barclaycard product you're eligible to move to. I would imagine that if you're on Platinum - you'll have the option to switch to the rewards card to gain unlimited international spending/withdrawals fee free interest free forever (unless they change their terms and conditions at some time).
  • Got the rewards card with 0.25% cashback but how does that work in practice?

The cashback is paid as bill credit at the end of the year.
