Mobiles discounted when new model is due

I was looking at a Google Pixel 6a after reading some excellent reviews of it.  Someone mentioned that as Pixel 7s are going to be on the market soon, 6s are likely to have price reductions and that maybe I should wait a while.

Is this likely do you think, or should I just get one now?

The 6 and 6 Pro have already been discounted for the 7 release but may see a further reduction once it is launched. The 6a is a different range (more mid range offering) to the 6 / 6 Pro and has only been out 6 months or so and unlikely to be effected by the 7 launch.

So depends on whether you want a 6 / 6 Pro or a 6a

6a is £399 and there is a trade in offer as well
6 is £474 down from £599
6 Pro is £649 down from £849

Thanks, I was going for a 6a as I don't want too big a phone.  I'll have a look to see what is on offer if I trade in a phone.
