EE vs Sky(o2)?

Quick question but a bit of context first. I am only looking to get a Sim deal NOT a new handset - I am on EE and out of contract (pay £9 a month for 10g) and generally pleased with what I get , but no roll over of data
Talking to Sky again tomorrow after initial discussion about moving to them (as I have my TV with them and get VIP discounts)
I like the idea of roll over data and my partner could get sim too and then get 25% off - they are quoting about £8 for 7gig (if I remember correctly?)
But when I do my research and do a speed test when out of the house , then my EE is pretty quick data download, whereas my wife on giff-gaff , which is O2, is really slow. And O2 is Sky's provider
QUESTION - If I have Sky mobile sim, will data outside of the house be significantly slower than now when I am with EE?

It depends where you are - in some places 02 will be faster than EE or Three or Vodafone, other places it will probably different. Each of the networks have their own base stations and use different frequencies which make coverage different where ever you are.
In the end you have to try it out to see which network gives you the coverage and speeds where you want to use it.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -

Thanks both, I decided against it in the end, and will stick with EE - only about £1 a month in it, so I won't be saving enough to warrant changing0

They are rolling 1m contract stop at any time
you save £50+ over the first 6 months then look at what deals are about.
After 6m if you decide to stay £6.90pm.

They use Vodafone as their provider.
We have two Lebara SIM's in this household. Low cost and so far a reliable service. If that changes we can cancel at the drop of a hat and go elsewhere taking our numbers with us.
