Day 6 - still nothing from Starling!@Standingstrong - Starling simply asked for some evidence of the property purchase, so I sent them the exchange of contracts & bill of sale on 25th from our solicitor - no comment received at all.And yes, I've checked the online statements.@xylophone- request for MT103 has gone into Lloyds (remitter) ... But, frankly, even if it is AML checks, I don't think radio silence for 6 days (& counting) is good practice.2

You could have rung Lloyds over the weekend to start the process.Life in the slow lane2

No bank would volunteer whether there is an AML check going on as their licence prevents them from sharing this information.
This is great for compensation when making a complaint as they have to lie to you and then they have to pay compensation for the ridiculous performance they put on. But of course it's not as good when you're worried about a house purchase falling through.
Back to the original post, if the house purchase falls through then it falls through. I'd want some compensation regardless, but it's unlikely to adequately compensate you.

RING THEM. And ask them what’s going on.
a bank can’t just “lose” your money.. it’s impossible
so clearly they think is suspicious and by LAW they are not allowed to disclose to you what there investigating as it’s an offence
so you need to ask Starling what evidence they need and send it to them ASAP.If you cannot give them evidence and just ignore it then you’ll end up having all your accounts closed and a CIFAS onto your nameAnd ask lloyds to see what’s going on they're side they can give you some infomation surely regarding it.
we can only give you advice.. you just got to follow it so please just ring starling and lloyds..
let us know

They have just lost the money!
There is a difference between "cannot immediately locate"/ "cannot reveal cause of delay in receipt" and "lost".
Short of some sort of fraud/misallocation, the money is not lost - it is somewhere within the system and the MT 103 should show where?
