EDF IS NOT OFFERING ANY FIXED DEALS TO EXISTING CUSTOMERS

Other providers are still offering fixed tariffs that you could choose to switch to if you wish e.g. Scottish Power. This site's now inappropriately named Cheap Energy Club is one way to get some comparisons. Don't expect to like any off the numbers you're presented with thoughLily18 said:Has anyone found themselves in the same situation and any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!
. It's really hard to know what may be best to do though, particularly as it's not impossible that the recently announced price cap may not actually end up being what gets implemented depending on what the next prime minister and cabinet choose to do. 0 -
That seems to be the main problem at the moment. The government and media spouting so much conflicting information so that nobody knows what to do until its too late.

EDF was always doing 2 year fixes. That seems to be especially risky now, so they won't do any fixes at all it seems.0

I did the gamble and fixed at 11.9 p for gas non direct debit a few weeks back and used a code for £136.50 cashback that went in next day, I'm so glad I did it's not protected for two years. My electric is BG and I did the same a few weeks back and fixed at 34.7p until June next year. It was a gamble but glad I did.0

If it was that short a time ago, you'll likely have to pay £100 per fuel to leave EDF.CRISPIANNE3 said:The good news is I fixed with EDF for gas a few months ago at 11.19 plus daily charge. The bad news is we have just bought a pile in the Cotswolds and only has electric. We will now need to pay the exit fee of £100. Oh well that's life!Mobtr said:
You won’t have to pay the exit fee if you move house & you can take your tariff with you. I know you don’t have gas at the new property but they may still let you keep the tariff for your electricity if you go with them for your new house. Certainly worth a try.
We get our electricity from British Gas and that is fixed until July 31, 2023. I know I can take the tariff with me for that and may vary slightly to the rate I am fixed on at the moment.Mobtr said:
