Poundland have fleecy onsies on sale.........but take care.
I bought a smarter couple of fleecy looking outfits and found they weren't actually warm so returned them. One was Tescos. Looks pretty, just no good.
You have to really check with these fabrics that they are actually warm - so it's back to the old stuff.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

5 or 6 layers is totally unnecessary

Long johns, thermal vests under 'normal' clothes - joggers and hoody, plus a scarf when v cold
  • I am going to heat the house as normal and pay the bill. I’m not walking round the house wearing 3 weeks worth of clothing at the same time. What about if I have visitors, I would look ridiculous. They would ask me if the boilers broken.
Er, we can see your avatar, Scara.
On a different but connected note, I think we all have a moral duty to cut down on energy use in any case - provided we can - as reduced usage should bring down costs, whereas continued high usage could lead to outages.
    There's a war going on, y'know.

This is what I wear (I work from home) and we use a big winter duvet as a blanket when sitting on the sofa. But how do you guys cope with your extremities? I'm on the hunt for some fingerless gloves to use during the day when typing, but my nose is always freezing.

Think I tend to agree, life is for living not enduring.

Exactly, 5 or 6 layers! Turn down the heating a few degrees by all means but walking about like a Teletubbie is ridiculous. Dont forget most people have a standing charge anyway which still needs to be paid so a bit of heating here and there will make life a bit more bearable.

Surely all the extra washing would counteract most of the energy saving of heating.
