Are we vulnerable?

Im 68, cardio patient, on blood thinners, on a state pension

Wife is 62, had a PE, thrombosis, also on blood thinners

We are reducing our electric useage as much as possible (£1.85/day at the moment plus DC)

    I think the criteria for the cost of living payments is fairly clearly set out isn’t it? Do you receive qualifying benefits, for example?

    Do you claim any benefits other than your state pension?  If not, check potential eligibility with these two calculators

    (Or worth doing a check anyway if you do claim some financial help already, just to make sure you're not missing out on anything.)

    Cost of Living payments are mostly for those who claim certain benefits - means-tested, and/or disability.

    As you are a pensioner you will be entitled to an extra £300 on top of your Winter Fuel payment.

    You will get the £400 energy credit to your electricity account.  You should also have had the £150 council tax rebate, if you live in a property in bands A-D.

    Apply for council tax discount. 
    We have a 1500 monthly income and qualify for 60 percent discount
