Repositioning Bulk LPG (currently Calorgas) at house we're buying

I want to add a conservatory to the house we are buying . On doing a little research I can see Calor say the bulk tank needs a clearance of 3 m all round. The one corner of the proposed conservatory would only be around 1m from the tank. What are my options? If I switched supplier would they move the tank for free? Any help appreciated .

Firstly, I assume that you have a suitable location that the tank can be moved to (3m clearance etc).

As you are new to the property, you will not have a contract with Calor, as the contract will be with the current owner. You will therefore be free to take out a new contract with whoever gives you the best price!

It will be unlikely (although not impossible) that whoever you choose will move the tank for free.  You can certainly provide a new concrete base for it in its new position, but I suspect that the supplier will want to charge for the new pipework.

If the tank currently contains much gas, they may have to pump it out into a temporary tank before moving it.

When I discovered that my tank was in a non-compliant position, I did get Calor to move it and the pipework for free, but I had to provide the new concrete base.  This was some12 years ago now and things may have changed.

3m from any walls, boundaries or anything really you don't control the other side of. 3m from parking as well.
If a wall is solid ie brick/concrete and has no windows/doors it can be deemed to be a firewall and be 1.5m from the tank.
My instinct is that anything will be charged especially a new firm as you would be an unknown to them.
I understand that Calor are able to do everything in house?
A survey will give you all the information on siting the tank.
