Don't forget also you'll probably need your first (and possibly subsequent) services six weeks earlier too.seekinganswers444 said:Thanks all, I have asked for the term if the lease to be reduced at no additional cost, so the lease ends with the warranty. The car was ordered as a new vehicle, the pre registered and older plate isn't an issue but the 6 weeks or so no warranty certainly is0 -

Probably not lying around. Registered while still on the boat?Flight3287462 said:I'm just surprised there are any cars lying around that have been pre-reg in this current climate.
Almost certainly registered before they are available, to hit some kind of registration quota.
How early can you actually register a car? I was under the impression it had to have made it to the UK to be registered, but if it was in the UK, they'd be trying to get it to the customer much quicker than that.
I wonder if it's been registered, but damaged, and is awaiting repair somewhere.

it could be in the UK awaiting a transporter to deliver it.
Many years ago we had a new car that had to wait 6 weeks for transport.
Shortage of HGV drivers and driving time regulations won't be helping at the moment.0 -
Thanks for your help everyone.
They have agreed to make the lease period 33 months rather than 36 at no additional cost. This allows the vehicle to be returned prior to the warranty expiring1 -
Which leasing firm was it?0
