Did the signs, or machine, tell you to adjust the amount paid to reflect the parking time?MysteriousMist said:
The letter says I stayed for 1 hour and 25 minutes and up to 2 hours is £2 and up to 1 hour is £1 but the machine said £1 or maybe it asked for what time I arrived when I came to pay but since it happened like nearly 2 weeks ago I can't remember.KeithP said:Then the keeper of the vehicle should send the blue text template appeal easily found in the opening post of the NEWBIES thread.

The letters I've had said if I appealed to others then the discount would be taken away and I didn't have the money to pay full amount so I didn't want to try that out either.Fruitcake said:What happened when you complained to the landowner and your MP? That is always Plan A.
If Plan A fails, you have the option of an appeal to the PPC, and if unsuccessful, an appeal to PoPLA. Neither will cost you anything, and there is nor requirement for you to pay even if you lose.
I didn't/don't really see the point in complaining to my MP cos they've probably got better things to do than do something about why I shouldn't pay the ticket lol. 😅 I've never heard of that happening either.0 -
It said to put in the time you arrived and I was like "how the hecc should I know?" I have a black box and that records the time but only for when I start driving it doesn't tell me when I got there and I didn't check the time cos I assumed that the machine would know anyway.KeithP said:

Lowkey expecting another ticket through the post cos I tried parking yesterday but cos I'm a failure or cos the spaces are too small I either was too close to a pillar or to another car and couldn't get out so I left, went around the roundabout and came back but I was only in there for like 1 minute.
I was expecting the letter to say about that not this one. I always pay before I exit so I'm super !!!!!!.0 -
UK MPs passed a new parking bill through parliament as a result of receiving complaints from their collective constituents. The framework to implement the new mandatory bill is currently being processed, and a third public consultation about the fees a PPC can claim is likely to be held within a few months.
None of this would have happened if people hadn't complained to their MPs.
Your MP may or may not be able to help you if you complain, but I guarantee they will not help you if you don't.
If every one of the nine million people a year who get PCNs from unregulated private parking companies complained, refused to pay, and ended up in court, the whole country would have come to a grinding halt, and the UK justice system would have collapsed years ago.
If nobody complains, nothing will ever change.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
