Selling an old phone
I recently bought a new mobile phone through Amazon.
During the buying process I was offered a trade in for my old phone.
I've always used a protective cover on my phone, so it was it virtually as new, however I've now received an e-mail from Amazon saying my trade in has been rejected due to 'deep scratches on body and screen'.
Luckily I indicated that I wanted my phone returned rather than accept a lower price, so I'm now waiting for the phone to be sent back.
Can anyone recommend a good mobile phone trade in site?
I know Amazon trade in are done by a third party but I get the feeling prices are offered and then excuses are made to then not honor that price.

Sell it on Ebay and use Ebay's search facility to see how much that model's sold for recently by selecting "sold items"1

Protective covers aren't a be all and end all to screen protection. A screen protector will not protect the back of your phone, the edges, or even the corners of the screen.Given enough force (by accident or otherwise) the screen of a phone will get scratched regardless of what's protecting it.Also if not applied properly in the first place:

There wasn't a scratch on either the screen or phone body, never mind what they describe as 'deep scratches'.
I think they hope to reduce the offered price by claiming the state of the phone is worst than claimed by the seller.
