What happens to my Cineworld Unlimited card if they go into liquidation?

From what I read, there does seem to be a fundamental issue with the ability of the business to continue and not just because of debts built up over the last two years. They seem to suggest that cinema audiences are still significantly less than what they were pre pandemic, maybe partly due to the number of big film releases also being less, so administration might be much closer than anyone thinks.user1977 said:
Yes, it's obviously a risk. But assuming they continue as a going concern (and I can't see why they couldn't - this is presumably them struggling to cope with lockdown debt, not cinemas going out of fashion), it would seem bad for business for them not to honour the cards. Even if the subscription money has "gone", cardholders are still going to buy food/drink, bring along people who buy tickets, etc.Money_Grabber13579 said:
If they go into administration though, the administrator can decide whether or not to accept them. Likewise, if the business is then sold, the new owner wouldn’t have to honour the cards. So there could be a risk that the OP loses their money but until they do go into administration (if they do), you can use away at it.user1977 said:I suspect it’s more likely they’ll continue trading as normal from the point of view of punters and it’ll be the big commercial creditors who will be taking the hit, so I wouldn’t worry at this stage.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j1
