Santander / William Hill - strange

This is more William Hill than Santander, but wasnt sure which forum to post it in...
Anyway, this morning i placed a £10 football bet via William Hill after depositing £10 with Santander debit card ( use WH quite regularly, using same card )
I went into " My bets" to check bet place ok ( which it was ) and noticed another live bet, which i hadnt placed - £100 double on over 2.5 goals on a Czech 3rd division game, and over 3.5 goals in another Czech 3rd division game. It was placed one minute after my own genuine bet..
Logged onto Santander immediately - my pending balance was showing the £10 for genuine bet ok, but not the £100.
Went onto online chat with William Hill and logged what had happened ( couldnt find a tel no to report this ) they have suspended my account, and apparently will follow up by email to me, though have had nothing back yet.
Called Santander Fraud team, and they also can see the £10 pending, but nothing at all for the £100. they will keep an eye on my account, but they suspect it is a William Hill issue.
I did try to cash the bet out, just to clear it off, but that failed.
Incidentally it WAS a winning bet which would pay nearly £400 - the required amount of goals were scored in both games not long after half time.
Anyone got any ideas on this, or had similar happen ?

"over 2.5 goals" - why not over 2 goals?
...or do they award fractional goals in Czech football?0 -
Is your card still linked to the WH account?0

Did you check your betting history at the time and see if your account's been used in this way before?I'm surprised a bookie would even accept a £100 bet on Czech 3rd division football. Their security software would normally throw up all sorts of red flags: it suggests that either the punter knows the result in advance, or they've made a mistake with their odds and the punter has spotted an opportunity to lay the bet off elsewhere for a guaranteed profit.0

I think it's someone mistakenly logging on to your account. Can WH trace where the bet was laid and how it was paid for? That should be a clue to something.
Meanwhile I suggest not using the account again but change the password to something nicely random. And set up a new account if you want to continue to bet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Have had zero feedback from WH yet, been on the online chat help a couple of times, but they are useless, and AFAIK there are no phone numbers. Will just have to wait it out and see what they comeback with. Obviously i still cannot log onto the account as it is suspended. No money has come out of my Santander account ( apart from the £10 bet i placed ) so it does appear to be just a WH issue, so thats one less thing to worry about.0

Have you tried their Twitter? They won't resolve issue with accounts but they might not want any bad publicity0

Im not on Twitter / FB etc.....Could try the racing press, but they dont usually bite the hand that feeds them.0
