Free alternative to Nimbus maps (check if multiple properties are private/council owned)?

Does anyone know of any free or low cost alternatives to Nimbus Maps? There used to be a free basic account option which allowed you to hover over a map and see if a property was privately owned or Council / HA etc It seems they've done away with the free version now and the cheapest option is £125 a month!

We're considering a leaflet drop for a specific property type to buy (bungalow) that isn't already on the market. I know I could check Rightmove to see if there have been any sales but that would be quite time consuming, Nimbus allowed you to quickly identify privately owned properties and you could easily identify a privately owned property even on a whole street of council properties.

Thanks for any input :)

Nimbus was great while it lasted, but a leaflet costs very little and would you want every private bungalow in the area? If I was dropping leflets with a purchase in mind, some properties would be missed out because of aspect or other factors applied as a filter as I delivered them.

There's so few bungalows on the market here, and in reality a leaflet drop is unlikely to attract large numbers of sellers, so we do want to leaflet drop every bungalow that's privately owned and is the right sort of size. It's a large city so we don't want to be posting leaflets to Council/HA properties when they're obviously not going to be selling.

There's so few bungalows full stop!

Apart from seaside towns (especially south and east coasts) and the small Suffolk town of Brandon, most places have very few bungalows compared to houses. Many detached bungalows in good locations or on good plots are either extended upwards or demolished to be replaced by 4/5/6 bed houses. Very few new ones are being built.

Around where I live most bungalows on the market are high priced, need thousands spending on updating and stay on the market for approx. 5 minutes.

Estate Agents often do leaflet drops "Having sold STC we have a client looking for a property like yours" EAs will have a good knowledge of their local area, so it may be an option for you.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Are there actually many bungalows among the social housing in the area? It's not a normal build type for council houses, apart from maybe small terraced/semi ones for the more infirm tenants.

Well the house that's being sold to fund the purchase is ex-Council and is opposite a row of Bungalows - we're looking for a 2 bed so that could fall into the category you mentioned.

That's a good idea - get them to do the leg work!

There's a few that are lingering on the market (not suitable in any case) but doing an 'include STC' search they do tend to go quickly, as do houses though - my relative sold within a week and it was to the first viewer who viewed less than 24 hours after it went on the market.

Pass! That's the whole point of my question re: Nimbus maps as I'd like to be able to simply click on multiple properties to find out if they're privately owned so we can target the leaflet drop.

Ah. It's generally fairly easy to recognise council estates without needing to look up who actually owns the properties. If you don't have enough local knowledge about what was developed by the council, maybe find someone with more local knowledge?
