Vodafone!! Cancelling Contract or getting help!
Hi all,
Im having a few problems with vodafone and wondered where i stand on canceling my contract with them.
1. Vodafone broke my contact within the first month (some phone operator changed my contact unrequested to £45 instead of the original £40, after much hassle vodafone admitted it was their fault and are now paying the extra £5 as they cannot change it back
2. On my unlimited text contract i went over the 3000 and have been charged, in their terms and conditions it says if they feel i have gone over they will ask me to moderate my usuage, THEN if i fail to do so they may charge me. As always, they have just charged me straight off!
I am in my now second month of the contract, would i be charged for canceling or does what vodafone have done leave me in the right?
any help would be great, there must be somebody out there?
thanks,
newe999

If voda have corrected their mistake then they aren't technically in breach. Sale of goods act states that where there is a problem the supplier should be given a chance to rectify the issue - which from what your saying they have.
With the T&C's have they refused to refund you the charge? I would guess that they have covered themselves to be able to charge you if they wish - you should still e-mail the MD to see if you can get a resolution.0 -
Hi newe999,
I’m sorry to hear of your frustration with Vodafone, I would like to look into your account to get the issue resolved.
There is a fair usage policy of 3000 messages on your unlimited text message tariff. The terms and conditions state that we will contact you if you exceed this. I apologise that this process hasn’t been followed before charges were applied.
Unfortunately the problems you have had wouldn’t be grounds for cancelling your contract. However I would like to look at your account to see if the charges for the text messages can be refunded and to see why you weren’t contacted.
Rather then exchanging personal details over the forum please can you email me via our online contact form, so I can investigate this for you. Please ensure you complete as much information as possible so that I can access your account without having to ask for further information. Please include the code FIT135 in the body of the text to ensure the email comes to my team.
I look forward to hearing from you.
