Social housing exasperation!!!

Im in the last stage of going through a legal claim regarding the disrepair of my flat.
This week a report was posted to my tenant (social housing) from an independent surveyor detailing defects & disrepair of my flat
Social housing employ there own surveyors so you can imagine the loyalties towards the repairs department in saving money.
My last survey was the 4th one:
The 0.5” high damp course wasn’t bridged in there opinion, with no rainfall on the day they came to inspect it they were unable to witness the bridging themselves so therefore it was in there opinion that the DCP height being 0.5” height wasn’t a concern to them
There survey report estimated costs totally £630.00 for all there repairs
An independent survey has priced the repairs at being £6780.00
It states that my flat is in a bad state of repair!
My question is…………..
Can social housing go against this independent report, I understand if they do there must be a good reason why there refuse certain repairs!
Has anyone ever experienced winning a case of housing disrepair with social housing

Can you clarify? You call it your flat and say your tenant received a report but then you mention the flat is social housing?
Do you mean you own the flat but its in a social housing development?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
I think she means the property is leased out to the housing association under a contract, who then let it out to social housing tenants. Effectively commercial letting.0

Can social housing go against this independent report,If its social housing how is someone your tenant? Explain your relationship regarding the flat and ownership. Are you a leaseholder with a HA or council as the freeholder? An independent survey can be used to prove a point but cannot force "social housing" to do anything.

OP can you clarify a couple of points as people area bit confused.
Can you confirm whether you live in this flat which you rent from the Housing association?.
Who is the tenant who has received the letter from the surveyor?0 -
Doesn't all correspondence during a disrepair case go via solicitors on you have gone through the pre action protocol and taken a case to court?
Really your solicitor should be all over this
