Yes I asked a while back and then chased it up a month ago when I saw predictions rise. They have a backlog but also have problems with the chips to make them apparently so supply is limited.deutsch said:Looks like there's a waiting list though and probably an increase in demand due to today's news. it gives an estimated annual usage in kwh - is that it?0

Yes I think so. Just to give you an example my estimated electricity is 4364 and my gas is 15042. And then it displays the estimated cost a year (won't be correct now as price going up in Oct though)TheGardener said:it gives an estimated annual usage in kwh - is that it?

Octopus has a meter reading history so you can take two dates 12 months apart and work it out from that.
However last winter was mild so their estimates might actually be more useful (if you've provided meter readings every month) than last year's actual usage.0 -
Current Octopus (SOLR) customer on SVT.Followed link on page 2 to Tracker, but can’t see any mention of the current version or the rates. I realise it’s an indication, interested in the cap really.Don’t yet have smart meters and the installation dates being offered are between 15th & 22nd Sept when we’re away. How do I see what their current Tracker offering is?0

If you do want to go onto Tracker, don't wait for smart meters before contacting them. They could well bring out a new version with an increased cap in the meantime.badger09 said:Current Octopus (SOLR) customer on SVT.Followed link on page 2 to Tracker, but can’t see any mention of the current version or the rates. (You can request they put you onto this version at X date, delay the switch a bit, but if they do bring out a new version and you only contact them after that, you wouldn't be able to go onto the current one.)1 -
Thanks both.So they’re still offering Octopus Tracker July 2022 V1?
We don’t have Smart Meters but happy to sign up. When logged into my account I see they have local appointments 5th - 22nd Sept but we’re out of the country then. Sod’s law, we return 22nd.When logged in, on ‘Change my tariff’ I’m only offered fixed rate deals. Can I just confirm, I can sign up by email, without existing SMs, & if I want to go back to SVT, I can do so? Or would I then be restricted to their fixed rate offers?Sorry for all ??s but I’m tying myself in knots trying to work it all out & prepare for departure on 31st😊1 -
Yes at the moment (they haven't brought out a newer version yet), and yes.badger09 said:Thanks both.So they’re still offering Octopus Tracker July 2022 V1?

You have to contact them directly to specifically request to switch to Tracker.
[Might be reasonable to ask them to delay the switch until you're back home so you can give them a meter reading on switch day.]1
