groupNexus - Current fee due 0

I received a parking fine from GroupNexus for parking on Luton Retail Park Gipsy Lane Luton LU1 3JH, I appealed to both the GroupNexus and POPLA but my appeal was rejected.
When my appeal was rejected by POPLA I went on to pay following the link they provided but the fee was set to 0 so there was nothing to pay. I kept a screenshot and a video of this. I thought the fee was waived as a good will gesture.
However today I received a letter from GroupNexus asking me to pay a fee of £170 from £100 which was previously.
I noticed that they had changed the PCN number from what it previously was.
Would you please advise if I have any hope of not paying this charge.
Many Thanks in advance

A rejection of your appeal by POPLA places no obligation on you to pay the charge (it is NOT a 'FINE').Who is writing to you stating a £170 outstanding amount, GroupNexus or their debt collectors DCB Limited?I noticed that they had changed the PCN number from what it previously was.A completely different number, or a digit difference? Are you sure you've not had any other PCNs from them? Send them a SAR to elicit all the information they hold on you - a link to a template for a SAR can be accessed in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Thank you,
1) GroupNexus has sent the letter
2) It's completely a different number, I was there to visit friends as it's 100 miles away so definitely not a different PCN.

So Group Nexus are adding a fake £70 and you did not receive any debt collector rubbishluna180822 said:Thank you,

No paying. You don't pay these things if you lose at POPLA! It is a worry that you tried to pay snd didn't come here first.luna180822 said:Thank you,

No panicking if you get a debt recovery letter. No ringing them or Group Nexus.
We help people pay nothing at all. Send them a SAR, as shown the NEWBIES thread second post.
When you appealed, did you admit to being the driver? What did the POPLA decision say?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes they added an Additional £70 to the fine. The initial fine was £60 but then it went to £100.patient_dream said:

Yes I was honest with them and admitted I was the driver. I was naïve to think they would be understanding when I explained the reason for overstaying in the car park.Coupon-mad said:luna180822 said:Thank you,

POPLA noted: By parking for longer than was permitted the driver has breached the terms and conditions for the use of the site. POPLA’s role is to assess if the operator has issued the PCN in accordance with the conditions of the contract. As the terms and conditions of the car park have not been met, I conclude that the operator has issued the PCN correctly, the appeal is refused.0 -
What happened then? Overstay by how many minutes? Free car park? Retail?
Why didn't the retailer or landowner cancel it when you complained first?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to note the fee is still showing as £0 if I follow the POPLA link and I use the pervious PCN number.luna180822 said:Please see screen shoot of the fine due set to 0.

I felt really poorly, dizzy and unable to drive safety, I was with my 13 year old son. I was in such a state that I did not realise there was a limit. I stayed there for over 4 hrs until I felt it was safe to drive. I only used the toilets at Next and my son got something little from Starbucks to eat.Coupon-mad said:What happened then? There are cameras and they should see I drove around the car park just to see if it was safe for me to drive, I still felt very dizzy so I stayed longer.
They said I did not have any evidence. There was no evidence I could provide.0
