How can I remove my original house price from public view?

Is it statutory to have your house price displayed for public view? Can I put a request to stop the data being shared or sold by the Land Registry?
I noticed that some houses do not have the sold price displayed at all.

No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yes, but that didn't happen by the owners asking for some sort of special privacy option. The "free" price data excludes things which aren't normal sales on the open market (though occasionally gets it wrong). Or may simply not have been sold for years.Okey00001 said:I noticed that some houses do not have the sold price displayed at all.
In any event, the price of the last sale is always publicly available from the Land Registry - you can't stop people from getting the information there.1 -
It has to be asked: why?No free lunch, and no free laptop

It lists those with an interest in the property when it was purchsed i.e. the lender too, if there was one.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want anyone to know?0

Because when they sell they likely not want perspective buyers to see what they paid for the house. e.g. OP paid £250k for the house 6 months ago and then lists the house at £290k. That's my conclusion as i cant see any other reason unless its to stop an ex or a creditor from finding out what they have paid.trakky14 said:I don't understand why you wouldn't want anyone to know?3
