New unfair Halifax bank account condition

Lloyds Bank this morning said:

"There is no specific update from the Bank of England as of yet, which means that there may be changes to the FSCS deposit protection, changes on interest rate or what not. We can't give you a specific answer right now because we don't have any much update as of now. We will let you know soon if there is."

So, this is being directed by the BoE, not the individual banks.
