Hi
My Mother in Law has asked me for a bit of advice on her tv and its been a while since I've dealt with sky. She's on the old variety package with sky+ box and pays £40. She has no internet and does not want it. She's asked if she can get rid of channels she doesn't want such as kids channels and replace with Sport keeping the entertainment channels. When i look online for her everything is about upgrading to Sky Q but it looks like this needs internet? Will they do a upgrade on Sky+ and what are the packages and prices these days, its not clear looking online.

Your best thing to do is to call them up, they will be very willing to swap the boxes. I assume the q box will still work without the internet from the dish.  Sport can be had for as low as £9 when coupled with cinema £12  on a retention deal.  On its own likely to be £14-25 depending on who you get on the phone or live chat.   Have a look on the Sky Retentions thread on the main board for prices people being offered

Yes they will but you will need to speak them.  Need to move to Sky Signature, which is cheaper on its own and then you can add the other bits on as you need to.

It will probably involve a new 18 month contract.
