  • another choccy recipe my OH loves them (well it is chocolate after all)

    Cherry Brandy Truffles
    175g/6oz plain (dark) chocolate
    60g/2oz dark mascovado sugar
    30g/1oz butter
    2 egg yolks
    1 tbsp cherry brandy
    1 tbsp milk
    30g/1oz biscuit crumbs
    30g/1oz cocoa powder
Melt the chocolate in a medium bowl placed over a pan of gently simmering water. Add the sugar and butter, stirring until melted
Stir in the egg yolks, cherry brandy and milk. Heat gently, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes
Add the biscuit crumbs. Beat the mixture thoroughly and leave to cool. Then chill until firm enough to handle.
Form the mixture into about 20 balls and roll in cocoa powder. Place in sweet cases and store in a cool place.
Keep the truffles refrigerated and eat within 2 weeks.
If you wish, substitute the cherry brandy for apricot brandy and use raisins or apricots as well as biscuit crumbs

BunBun - they look fab :)

Lots of different finishes & layers. Clever :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

I've been out partying all day (well, a bit of shopping, I had to treat myself! :D ) I got myself a spanking new craft bag for all my crafty bits & bobs (LOTS of them - collecting them is my hobby) and from my DH I got a laptop! Woohoo! I'll be able to take MSE wherever I go! Yeeeeeee-hah!
