Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but and possibility of some rain, very localised showers yesterday but looks more likely for rain this afternoon into this evening.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was gammon, egg, chips/jacket potato and salad.
Keep safe and well x

Morning, thanks for starting us off nmlc. After my trip to Glasgow yesterday I pottered slowly in the house. I had my weekly banking to update and move some money around. When on holiday I want to use my Chase current account as they don't add any transaction charges so I've loaded it up. My gardener came and planted the new plants for me and I also found that the window cleaner had been.Today I have a couple of fiddly chores to do before sorting out more paperwork, it never ends. 😀 The weather is not looking good so no lingering in the garden, I'll just have to catch up on emails instead.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Tuesday to all.11

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC, hope you are ok.It's so dark here with heavy cloud, that I've got a lamp on, it surely must rain. It was forecast for yesterday, but there were only a few drops.I did an ironing marathon yesterday, I'd been putting it off on the grounds that it was too hot, but I bit the bullet and did it, I was sick of seeing it.I have to airmail a birthday card to my Dil in Australia today, it should have gone last week but I'm ashamed to say I forgot. There's a parcel to return as well, I ordered a dress in 2 sizes because I wasn't sure if I would be a 12 or a 14 in this brand, and I'd read in the reviews that people were sizing up. The 14 looked fine so I didn't try the 12 on.The quiz is not on tonight because there are a lot of folks on holiday, so it looks like a quiet day/evening ahead.Hope everyone is ok and has a good Tuesday, take care folks.12

Morning All
It rained steadily all day yesterday, the garden has had a good watering so it can stop now! I called at the allotment on my way home, the beans are now in full swing, thought they had all died!
Work was good yesterday, got lots done so feel a bit more ready for the term ahead. Great to see everyone, a few have moved on and we have some new faces. Another day today with no children, should be productive!
Some good ideas for you Nelski, I have some battery operated sensor lights that come on when you are near, not very big and I use rechargeable batteries. Got one from Ikea and the other from Lidl I think.
Glad your trip to Glasgow went smoothly Gers, could have been terrible with the rain in some parts.
Well done on the ironing Scarlet.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I'm glad I watered all the plants early yesterday morning as the promised rain never arrived last night. It's now forecast for later this afternoon and I have to say the sky isn't looking too promising already!
No Tuesday coffee and lunch meet up today. BFF is suffering the same ill effects of Friday's chemo as last time. Felt fine the day after and then 3 days of feeling yucky. If it's following the same pattern she might start feeling better tomorrow. As I laid in bed I did think I would take the bus ride along the valley bottom this morning, now it's feeling a bit cooler. But now I am wondering if I cba!! After all the days of slothfulness thanks to the heat normal life needs to resume!
DD and the 2 younger ones called yesterday on their way to the caravan for about 10 days. And only coming back then for a wedding! I'm glad they won't be suffering the same extreme heat that I was when I was there!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning
Thank you all for the great ideas on the torch. I feel quite an an amateur with my one torch (30 is going some!) Some thinking needed.
Was due to be heading to mums this morning but i got a call from the home last night that mum was quite ill so they had called an ambulance. That took about 2 hrs to arrive and then the wait in the corridor to actually see someone. Good job it was Monday as they are a little bit quieter. She was admitted as suspect sepsis due to a high temp and low oxygen. They suspect the UTI has taken a hold again so she will need IV antibiotics. Didn't get any sleep of course so I would be no use at her house.
She's still in the A+E but they are trying to find her a bed on the ward.
So plans gone to pot and I will have to go with the flow
Take care all11 -
Oh Nelski - what a worry for you. My thoughts are sending out healing vibes to your Mum and hugs to you. 🌺9

Morning all
Back from a wonderful holiday, ate too much drank too much, swimming and snorkeling every day and many adventures on the quad bikelots of lovely memoried to keep me going for another year, we got back last night after 12 hours of travelling so we were shattered, OH is still in bed and will be for a while I think, the dogs were very pleased to see us and DD had kept the house beautiful and tidy.
Back on my diet now and new job to look forward to as from next week. I have to go and do a shop today as the fridge is quite empty.
Hope everyone is ok will go and try to read back.
Nels just seen your mum is poorly, hopefully they can make her feel better now she is in hospital xxx
Have good days all xxx10 -
Morning all from a dull and sad mehefinland
Poor Sallylabrador lost the fight yesterday morning. We left her to go to see to the horses and on our return she was gone. a terrible shock although we knew it was on the cards. Buried her in the field last night.
My leg is still shocking.. the bruising goes from groin to below the ankle and I have a lump the size of a small orange at the point of contact from the kick. The grazing is healing ( and itching like crazy!) but it has certainly knocked us for six.
BUT it could have been much, much worse.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
