Travel insurance with medical conditions

It's worth looking at annual policies as they can work out not much more (or sometimes even cheaper) than single trip insurance.
You should always declared diagnosed conditions because if you ever have to make a claim then avoids the insurer giving an excuse for not paying up.0 -

Going for 19 days.I’m young and I’ve never had any problems yet in life so it’s a shame to be paying this much, never payed more than £30 before!Or does anyone know any companies you can pay monthly with?
many thanks!
The colitis needs to be covered , don’t book insurance where it is excluded. It seems anything can be connected to colitis, fall and break something - that’s colitis as you were in a weakened state due to a flare up etc. We have family history of all manner of colitis, crohns , coeliac IBS and always ensure we are fully covered whichever of us is travelling.0 -
I last used Stay sure and price ok....have heard of Travel Insurance 4 Medical but never used them understand the cover for medical conditions is very good.0

I have used stay sure, all clear, Insure and Go and Travel Insurance 4 medical. I have had colitis for 14 years now, I went to Florida as it happens about 3 months after diagnosis and it was super expensive at £300ish pounds then. I would not risk going to the USA without cover for your conditions.
Have you had any recent flare ups of either the colitis or liver condition? Either of these when going through the medical screening may cause an increase in premiums as your condition is not as stable as it once might have been. Equally have you been given additional medication recently that could be causing them to be more wary when offering you cover.
