Flight delay

Just arrived back from a holiday and had a 16 hour delay on the flight.
who do I make a claim with? Our insurance,TUI .or follow the link on this site?
we also waited an extra 2 hours for our baggage but we’re told the machine was broken and it could be another 2 hours.After over 24 hours from leaving the holiday we wanted to just get home.We we’re given a piece of paper to organise getting our cases which doesn’t seem any use.Made several phone calls and no one is able to help.

Unless the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond their control, you claim for delay compensation from the operating carrier, i.e. the airline.

Likewise you'd need to pursue them (separately) for baggage lost or delayed.

Hi, I'd be interested in how you get on with your claim. I posted on here today, my claim was confirmed as valid but I'm having a lot of difficulty getting the payment from TUI

Was reading this earlier Flight Disruptions Cost TUI €75 Million And Push It Into Q3 Loss (simpleflying.com)  An eyewatering €75 million worth of flight delay costs for TUI which has actually pushed the whole group into a loss.  Some serious head scratching to be done in their airlines and flight scheduling departments.
