I can def. recommend Bosch dishwashers, we bought one which was 8 months old for £100 as a 'stand in'. That was 3 years ago and it's still going strong.
I would never touch Hotpoint or anything vaguely related again.
  • Have a Smeg dishwasher, never experienced any problem - Just do the obvious - always keep it topped up with salt and rinse aid, clean filter frequently etc.

One of my friends has a Bosch, also going strong after more than 10 years.
  • We bought a 2nd hand dishwasher from a nice big posh house for £50, a new condensor dryer for £199.99 (reduced from £249.99 due to web discount), then a recon washer for £189.99.

I would avoid the Hotpoint CDT00P dryer..it trips the electric, water residue over heater element and cover where fan blows water into heater and trips electric...and did this at 18 days old..
