Can I ask why you are going for a 600 when she is only visiting for 6 weeks?

 You only need a 600 visa if visiting for a long term, up to a year!

Ok, well it was the first time I had applied for one, looks like I may have applied for a longer visa than she needed. Really not sure what to do - seriously need to talk to the visa people but not sure how to. I wonder if anyone can help me in this

Are you able to now apply for the 651 e?  I’d give it a try and see, otherwise they have contacted you regarding the medical reports so you do have a contact, I’d contact them and explain your error.

I was thinking that, I’ll get her to chat to her travel agent Monday and I’ll look into 651e today\thanks

I don’t think it can do any harm trying, computer might say no but then again it might not.

Im in the process of renewing our visas for a visit soon and notice when in the immigration web pages there is a drop down coming from the visa drop down that is called changing visa.  You may be able to do it through that portal.

 Yes you can have two applications. I applied for a tourist visa while my spouse visa was being processed, no issues.

Thanks for everyone’s advice, mum got through to a London number and they said we should have applied for e651 which we have done now, fingers crossed it comes quickly
