Not sure if this is in the right place as not really energy but...
Who do I contact to raise a formal complaint against British Gas Homecare when I have been repeatedly failed by their customer services/complaints people?
In 2020 following my mother's death I contacted British Gas to cancel her supply and was impressed with their efficiency and kindness. At the same time the Homecare people were advised and my God they are absolute sh*te. Unfortunately I made the mistake of giving them my telephone number and for a short while I did not hear anything and then the telephone calls came (asking for my late mother) which I politely explained and was given apologies. I then received letters which I returned with a note and some more telephone calls. December 2021 I had tried calling and contacting via Twitter and each time was assured it would not happen again. It did and yesterday 10.08.2022 following yet another call I complained again via Twitter and was told that the account was definitely closed and that my telephone number had been removed from the account. This morning I received another call asking what had Homecare done wrong and what could they do to make me re-open the account???? as the account had not been renewed. It sets me up for a bad day or more each time so, today I decided they have had enough chances and I shall contact the Ombudsman. I spoke to a lady at OFGEM and she advised I contact Utilities ADR who have an answering machine only. They do not appear to take complaints regarding BG Homecare as am not the account holder. So any ideas please? Thank you.

If it works like energy complaints you will need to open a formal complaint with BG homecare first before you can go to the Ombudsman.
Have you opened a formal complaint with them or just spoken to random people there? Google is your friendHow do I complain about British Gas HomeCare?British Gas's customer service team is on 0333 202 9802. You can also write to Complaints Management Team, PO Box 226, Rotherham, S98 1PB. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can escalate the complaint by contacting the Customer Services Director's team via customercomplaints@britishgas.co.uk.15 Nov 20211 -
Thank you. I made a formal written complaint last December and have also sent complaints via their email but no joy so far.0

So did you do a online complaint with Utilities ADR than?
You cannot visit or phone them. Their contact information clearly states that they are not monitoring their phone lines.

I attempted a complaint but their online form will not accept British Gas Homecare, I subsequently tried just British Gas and was referred to OFGEM. As I said, I telephoned Utilities ADR (it is just a message saying to record a message or press star to contact the operator where you are asked to leave a message).0
