Would it be beyond the realms of possibility that they tell the defendant they have discontinued yet intentionally carry on to court and win on "non-appearance" ? It seems the type of dirty trick these lowlifes play1

They could... however at any subsequent set-aside, it could be evidenced and the PPC would be in for a hammering by the court for unreasonable behaviour.1

No, they wouldn't risk it.pustit said:Would it be beyond the realms of possibility that they tell the defendant they have discontinued yet intentionally carry on to court and win on "non-appearance" ? Yay! You won. Congrats. It's over!BigT369 said:Hello all,
So e mail today notice of discontinued claim. Not even submitted the statement yet. This is after lots of e mails and phone calls in the last week begging us to contact them.
I will say they sent an e mail to the court but the attachment they sent is not filled in, not sure if this matters or is a ploy from them but if it's gone to the court that should be it hopefully.
Thank you all for the support. I would like to try and help people on here if I can, I know 2 popele going through this and keep telling them to not worry as it will work out in the end if they follow the process.
Thank you all again!
Proudly added you to @Umkomaas' disco thread.
