I've also called Metro and they can't find the ad either, so either Gamestation demanded all records were deleted with regards to the offer or someone didn't read the ad properly and Gamestation lost £15 per sale for 1000's of customers.
I think Daily Mail are the owners of Metro and they stated "from £19.99" for the respective games and I think they retracted it to avoid a lawsuit.
Regardless though, Gamestation have now set a Legal Presidence by honouring the misprice for all the customers over the weekend based on the ad, so they have to honour it until either they state the offer expired (with the details of this like they did for there other half price offers) or they've run out of stock everywhere.
There has been no legal precedent set at all I'm afraid. Gamestation could quite easily say it wasn't a misprice, that they simply sold at advertised price, but they decided to retract the offer due to stock shortages.0 -

Gamestation have admitted that it wasn't supposed to be for £19.99, but it was from £19.99 for the respective games, yet they were accepting orders for £19.99 on the game itself over the weekend based on the ad.0 -
So they made a mistake!
lots of people on here have conned them into letting them have one at £19.99 without seeing the ad (if there was one) and now we have people up in arms that they cant get one to...get over it.0 -

Not quite.
I admit, misprices can happen and it is at the discretion of the store to decide if they want to honour it and if that was the case, I wouldn't have had any problems with them but the fact of the matter is, they've sold it to loads of people at the price advertised, so why decide this morning that they should no longer honour it.
Gamestation are selling loads of games as a loss leader to attract customers at the moment including PGR 4, COD 4 and were selling Mario Party 8 just last week all at around half price, so what makes people think we're conning them and this isn't just a tool to receive extra publicity, as has proven in the past?
The games list they also stated that are "from £19.99" is actually a lie as well, as Sight Training is actually £16.99, so the ad may have been altered once they realised the typo, if that's what it was.
Like I said, they're offering loads of deals as a loss leader as part of there advertising to attract customers, so how do you know this wasn't the case once again?0 -
mmmm, I would like to see this LAW, where thay have to honour this misprice
Me too, if you got one then nice deal, if you didn't there really is no point in getting plssy over it as they don't have to sell at that price if they don't wish to, on the other hand if you have got a copy of the ad they may be inclined to honour it but not obliged to.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
