CCJ letter

Just received a CCJ letter from a fine I appealed in 2016
Parked in a disabled spot in a medical emergency with a diabetic child - father who was with me in his haste threw his disabled badge (didn't make dashboard)
Appealed ticket and got standard response over and over despite giving evidence of being in possession of a disabled badge.
Through one thing or another (house move - marriage breakdown etc) I had totally forgot about this thinking it had been cancelled.
Fast forward to weekend and a CCJ drops on my doorstep.
Is there anything I can do?

Do you mean you have received a CCJ, having had a court claim heard, lost, and a judgment made against you, or have you had something else.
Please be precise and tell us the heading of the correspondence, and from whom.
Was it really a fine? If not, please also tell us the name of the PPC who issued the charge, where the alleged event occurred (it may have cropped up here before), and what happened when you complained to the landowner and your MP.
Please also tell us the date of the alleged event.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
Hello and welcome.
Have you really received a County Court Judgment letter or have you perhaps received a County Court Claim Form?
If the latter, please tell us the Issue Date on it.
Who is the Claimant?2 -

Event occurred at the Toysrus carpark Metro Centre Gateshead.
I am struggling with where the complaint went as it was so long ago - definitely appealed to UK Parking Control - Can't find anything else in my emails.

You keep mentioning a CCJ letter.
Have you received a County Court Judgment - a CCJ - or have you received a County Court Claim?1 -

Then you haven't received a CCJ.
Please tell us the issue date of the claim form, as well as the date of the alleged event.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1 -

Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
Thanks KeithP I've filled in the Acknowledgement of Service and downloaded the defence template - am I right that this is just a short explanation of what actually happened on the day? Or is this a detailed account with evidence etc?

The second post of the NEWBIES thread also offers good guidance on what goes in a Defence and what comes later.1
