BGas electricity account - smart meter; how do I change my meter reads frequency setting?

Hello helpful people.

BGas is taking reads from my smart meter (Liberty 100) - well that's what my account tells me (LOL).

BGas also states in the Meter Readings section ....

'As you have a smart meter, we will take your readings automatically, either once a month, daily or half-hourly. We recommend changing your settings to send meter reads every half hour, this means more accurate bills'

but I can't see how I do this?  Is this via my account or on my meter?

Thank you very much in advance.

It is definitely not a meter setting, it should be in your account options somewhere, hopefully another BG customer can tell you where...

I found that some suppliers allow you to change it in the account settings yourself, but nothing for BG.

You might need to contact their support to get it changed, but maybe somebody knows another way.

Thank you - that narrows it down to the account - but I can't see where to do this - I view my account via laptop - I don't have the 'app' loaded.

I find the BGas account horribly cluttered and it isn't easy to find where relevant info is and the search facility is hopeless.

I'm not going to be surprised if it takes a CS call to get it done...

I don't think I've got the energy to deal with BGas CS today.

Log in, select Meter readings (under Energy tab), Smart Meter Settings, then set how often you'd like.
I don't have the app either this was done on website.

Hi - thank you for replying.

I've had a look on my meter readings page - but all it shows is a table with past meter readings and underneath that 'Frequently asked questions'
I can't see an option to select 'Smart Meter Settings'.

BGas has only recently started to poll my SMET1 meter, (TBH I don't know if they are - they have just removed the ability to submit meter readings and are stating on my account that they are collecting readings).

    Well,

I girded my loins and went onto on-line chat.  It's all gone to (insert expletive here).  So neither fish nor fowl.  BGas aren't receiving readings and I can't submit meter reads unless I contact BGas CS directly.

I wonder if this is a round about way of putting me onto SMET2.  What a waste of resources.

If they ever get you reconnected to the Wider Area Network, so they can pull your readings, this is where you change it. I've only found it on the website version of my account though, not the app.

And I will also be having fun getting them to "reconnect" my meter to the network.

"It's a known issue, we're looking into it.".... Hmmm.

Thank you @vic_sf49 for posting your screen shot.  My account seems to be in some half evolved form - I don't know how to post a screen shot but my account page doesn't look like yours.

I'm not holding out much hope TBH.  I'll use their web chat to submit readings and keep on with my spreadsheet.

It's something I could do without quite frankly.
