Official MoneySavingExpert.com Note:
MoneySaving's all about cutting the cost without cutting back and website Justfortheloveofit.org is a great example of that. It's aim is to share what skills, tools and land we all have amongst our communities for free, thereby reducing the purchase of material goods.
It's completely free to register. Simply detail where you live and the skills you can offer and you'll see all those with other skills to offer within a 10 mile radius of where you are.

Hi
I thought others might like to have a look at www.justfortheloveofit.org. It's all about putting what skills you have for people to make use of and you being able to access their skills. There is NO CHARGE. Everyone has a skill from Listening, breadmaking to carpentry etc.
You get access to people within a 10 mile radius. Obviously common sense re keeping yourself safe and checking people are qualified regarding things like Corgi registered are needed.
I think it's a great idea and have already made use of it. It's good to remember we can help our neighbours and don't always need to think about money.
The guy who has started this has great vision. It covers the world.:j
As this site is all about saving money I think it fits in well.

Hi Greensaver,
Welcome to MSE
This board might particularly interest you: Green and Ethical MoneySaving
Pink0 -
Thanks for the welcome pink, there's some great stuff in there, got a lot of stuff I want to post myself too. Money saving is great as long as it doesn't come at the expense of people or the planet, so this section is right up my alley!0

Hi Greensaver
Welcome to MSE.
I second Pink's suggestions re the "Green and Ethical" Board. Actually - I tend to find my "home" is the Old-Style Board personally. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful to me on this Board and the "virtual friends" I have made from this website have, without exception, come from this Board . It feels to me like we are into "moneysaving" on this Board - whereas my feeling from some of the other Boards is that it comes over a bit more like "moneygrabbing". There is a huge difference between the two attitudes - and I know which I prefer.0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to alerting me to this. This is truly money saving old style!
I do find other stuff in this forum more about money-grabbing, I agree with ceridwen, so its refreshing when its not.0 -
I've had an email from the Organiser to say more people are joining and quoting seeing it here. The more that add their details in each area mean more people can help/be helped with problems. I'm really pleased it has been added to the weekly email so thank you.:D:D:DSelf Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Just wondering if people here know about freecycle - I think if you are interested in this thread you will also be interested in it. Its based on the concept of one persons junk being another ones treasure!0

Have I posted this on the correct board?
I have become involved in a new time bank and wonder if others could share their experiences of this.
Check out https://www.timebanking.org if this is new to you.
It seems even more relevant to everyone now we all have less cash in our pockets.
I'd love to hear how others have made a time bank work in their area0 -
Hi stilernin,
That's an interesting website, unfortunately it doesn't cover my area.
There's an earlier thread with similar websites so I've added your post to it so other users can find them all together.
