Filing falling out

Dentist filed my tooth in April. This has fallen out. Is there any guarantee on dentist's work or will I have to pay again?

Why did he file it? Was it too sharp/pointy?
How did filing it cause it to fall out?3 -
A neat hole in middle of back tooth. Fell out when eating. Thought it would stay in place longer.0

Jeremy the poster above you is cheekily, but correctly, pointing out that filing (with one L) is not the same as filling (with two LLs)."The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18642

I'd assumed the issue was going to be about a faulty filing cabinet....4

Haha. No filing needed luckily. Still not so fun to have a hole in your mouth - guess a lot of people will be having same problem.

Best to ask dentist.Jeremy_Stevo said:Dentist filed my tooth in April. This has fallen out. Is there any guarantee on dentist's work or will I have to pay again?Life in the slow lane1 -
My dentist covered a filling gone wrong which was his fault.1

If it is NHS then they should replace for free if its the same tooth within 12 months.
What if my NHS dental treatment goes wrong? - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
For private then would need to check what the contract stated.1 -
I would certainly expect the filling to be redone without any charge NHS or private.

The first thing to is contact your dentist. If the filling has failed due to negligence or bad workmanship by the dentist, a good dentist would replace for free.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
