Sky Q contract early cancellation charge.

Morning! 

I’ve realised I’m locked into my sky contract until April 2023, but I want to cancel without getting charged, the only way round this is if I was in the 31 day cooling off period, which I’m not.

however, they always offer you a deal when trying to cancel, so my plan is to accept a new offer, then cancel straight away as I’m then in a new contract with a 31 day cooling off period. 

Has anyone done this?

Yeah I am not sure this will work, they will have it written somewhere in their Ts & Cs that if you cancel your new deal within 31 days you will revert back to your previous package & contract.

You only get a "deal" if you're out of contract in the first place.  You're not.

Early termination fees is what you agreed to if you cancel ahead of the date agreed.  So either cough up the money or see the contract out.  Your choice.

As to your plan, all that will do is roll you back to where you were before.  It doesn't cancel the service.
